Welcome back to a new school year!

A warm welcome back to children & parents alike as we embark upon a new school year here in St. Patrick's N.S!

We welcome Ms. Katie Maguire to the middle room covering Ms. Ibs' career break for the full school year. Ms. Maguire will be teaching a class of eighteen 2nd & 3rd class children while Ms. Kilrane returns to the Special Education role following her maternity leave.

Ms. Keane will be teaching a class of seventeen junior infants to 1st class & I will be teaching a class of twenty- four 4th to 6th class children.

For those of you familiar with the school, you'll know our school times are 9.20 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Supervision is provided by the staff from 9.10 a.m. onwards every school morning. For insurance & child protection reasons, children are not to be left in the school yard unattended before 9.10 a.m. please.

P.E will be on Thursdays so P.E gear to be worn on this day please. (We will notify you by the Text a Parent app of any changes to this - please ensure you have downloaded the app to your phone as all school events/holidays will be available on the app)

As in previous years, you will receive the Allianz Pupil Personal accident insurance form this week. Please return the form & remittance to the school before the end of September should you wish to avail of this cover.

The children will all receive their book rental books & stationery in school on the first day back. Please ensure that all stationery & items of the school uniform are clearly labelled.

A reminder that in keeping with our healthy eating policy, children are only allowed a treat on Fridays. As you may know, all children can avail of free milk this year following our success in the Moo Crew competition earlier in the year. Please let us know if you do not wish for your child to receive milk every day.

We hope your child will have a great year with us here in St. Patrick's N.S. Please contact us to make an appointment if there is ever anything you are concerned about regarding your child's academic or social development this school year.

Kind regards

Trevor Larke
