World Book Day

Many thanks to Antonia's Bookstore for helping us to celebrate World Book Day again this year!

Antonia read us a story and the children used their World Book Day tokens to get a book.

Well done on all of the amazing costumes too!

Antonia's Bookstore

A huge thank you to Antonia for zoom calling the children in school today to celebrate World Book Day! She took so much time out of her day to read stories and chat to the children about the many wonderful books she has in her shop.

The Junior Room having great fun with Antonia:

Have a look at the previous post for information on how to use the World Book Day tokens on the Antonia's Bookstore website, and how to avail of a special 10% discount for our school!

World Book Day

Many thanks again to Antonia who invites us to her lovely bookshop every year for World Book Day! Every child gets a book with the book tokens and then we get to hear a story. We are so lucky to have this great bookshop so close to us!

Thank you so much!

World Book Day

Many thanks to Antonia's Bookstore in Trim for inviting us down for World Book Day again this year!

Juniors and Seniors were very lucky and got to meet an author. Tatyana Feeny read her newest book, Eva and the Perfect Rain, to the Junior Room.

The children were delighted to get their free books with their World Book Day tokens. Encouraging children to read for pleasure every day is one of the most important things we can do for our children.

Juniors and Seniors also had a book scavenger hunt in our lovely library, which is kept so well by the parents who look after it.

World Book Day

Many thanks to Antonia's Bookstore and to the Parent's Association for organising a wonderful World Book Day for the children in the school. Every child got to buy a book in Antonia's with their book token, and Antonia even took the time to read all of the classes some stories. The PA's book exchange fundraiser was a great success, and €110 was raised for Sightsavers!

Before the Juniors and Seniors went home, they had a great surprise! The children in the Senior Room came in to read some stories to them. It was a great way to finish off World Book Day.
