ASW-Wednesday

Today the fun started with soccer with coaches from Trim Celtic. The coaches were brilliant with the children and everyone got to practice their soccer skills! There are loads of children in St. Patrick's playing with Trim Celtic, from Junior Infants up!

We had a great time doing some Zumba outside in the sunshine! Have a look at our moves...

Well done to the pupils who demonstrated their Karate moves for us. Conor, Hugo, Elizabeth, Oscar, David, Poppy and Toby joined the instructors from Trim Kenpo Karate Academy (0863586141/0868336362 or see Facebook) and even Gwyneth from the Parent's Association to teach us some Karate.

We also had lots of fun doing some games and rugby skills with Bernard.

Jane from Aura in Trim also did great activities and games with the children.

ASW-Tuesday

Another busy day in St. Patrick's NS today! In the morning we had Pilates with Emma from Breath Yoga and Pilates in Trim. The children learned about Joseph Pilates, their muscles and the importance of stretching and moving them. Emma then did loads of stretching and movements with the children. For class times and further information see www.breathyogapilates.ie.

Jane McSherry came in again this year and did a full day of coaching with all of the classes. Jane is a coach in Navan Rugby Club, and we are very grateful for her taking time off to come into us every year!!!

Finally, we had Mark from Hennessy McVeigh School of Irish Dance. He does lessons in Trim GAA club from 11am-12pm on a Saturday morning, €7 per class. For more information contact Mark on 0876400468 or see www.irishdanceclass.ie

Active School Week: Monday

We are very excited for our third Active School Week in St. Patrick's NS! On Monday all of the classrooms went down to the Pitch and Putt course beside Trim Playground for some golf. In the afternoon we had gymnastics with Fit Kids in Navan. They brought one of their students, Ester, with them who has represented Ireland in gymnastics competitions. She did her performance from last year's competition for all of the classrooms and was just incredible! We wish her all the best in her future competitions! Before hometime we did basketball and Frisbee with Ms. Keane's sister, Emer, and her friends. It was a great first day of Active Week!

Please don't forget that the children should wear their tracksuits all week. We will also be spending a lot of time outside, so wear suncream and bring lots of water!

Here are some photos from Monday...

We're also keeping active between visitors! Here's a video of the Juniors and Seniors doing some guided dancing in the classroom:
