The Green School Committee have been very hard at work already this year! We completed a waste review last year and repeated it this year to see if we had managed to meet our aim of reducing waste in St. Patrick's N.S. by 50%. Last year, in one week, we binned 8.5kg of waste. This year we only had 2.7kg of waste, meaning we reduced waste by 68%!Well done to everyone in the school for remembering to recycle and compost! We have made St. Patrick's a greener school :)
For the new year we want a new poster to display our Green School Slogan, "Don't be Lazy, Go Green Crazy!", so we are having a poster competition which everyone is allowed to enter. Posters need to include our Green School Slogan, and the closing date is December 11th.
