New Jerseys

Many thanks to Loman Dempsey and Noel Dempsey from Trim GAA who organised and funded a full set of jerseys for our school. They came in with Darren McMahon to present the jerseys today and we can't wait to use them next year when football starts up again! If any of the boys and girls want to continue practicing their skills over the summer they can join the Trim GAA underage teams. There are children from Junior Infants to 6th Class in our school playing with the teams in Trim. Contact Darren McMahon on 0872395597 for more information. 

Senior Room Litter Picking

The senior room collected 7.7kg of litter in 30 minutes around the Yellow Steeple yesterday!

Each group collected data on the type & quantity of rubbish collected - paper, plastic, aluminium cans, glass bottles & compostables.

When we returned to the classroom, we weighed the collected rubbish & drew bar-graphs to represent the information gathered.

Senior Room School Tour

The children in 4th, 5th & 6th class had a wonderful day in Lilliput Adventure Centre yesterday!
The day began with some team building games, followed by 'Capture the Flag' and orienteering.
After lunch, the children really enjoyed the bog hopping, kayaking, archery & awesome wall climbing!

Junior Room School Tour

We had a fantastic time yesterday at Newgrange Farm. The children got to see and feed loads of animals and milk the cows. We went on a tractor drive around the farm and saw Daddy Bear, a leprechaun's castle, the farmer's bathtub and Newgrange itself! We also left the farmer behind twice!!! There were loads of great play areas too, including water play, sandpit, a hay-maze and tractors! After we held a duckling and a puppy we had our lunch outside on the picnic tables. It was such a fun and educational trip!
