GAA News

We had a double header on Tuesday with the boys and girls both playing against Dunsany. The Dunsany teams were very strong and came out the winners. Congratulations to our players of the match Éabha and Eoin. Éabha has made huge improvements since she began football training and is getting more involved every match. Eoin really stepped up his game on Tuesday and gave an exhibition performance! Maith-sibh!

Congratulations to Milly on her county debut! She represented St. Patrick's NS and County Meath on Sunday when she togged out at the half-time match in Pairc Tailteann. Well done Milly, we're sure it wont be your last time playing for the Royals!

New Classroom

The new classroom build is progressing very well. The concrete floors were poured today - this special device (a concrete pump) was used to pump concrete over the Coach House this morning!

We hope to have the classroom finished by the end of June. Our junior room will have a beautiful new classroom in September!

Girl's Football

Well done to all of the girls who participated in the Cumann na mBunscol 7-a-side competition in Boardsmill last Thursday! They showed great sportswomanship and enthusiasm!

Amelia McQuade will be taking part in the half time exhibition match at Páirc Tailteann in Navan when Meath take on Fermanagh in the National Football League! Well done Milly, you will do a great job representing the school on Sunday in a Meath jersey...the first pupil from St. Patrick's NS to do so! If you want to go and support the Meath footballers and Milly, the match will start at 3pm and Milly will be playing at half time!

The St. Patrick's N.S 5 a-side team represented their school at the annual F.A.I MDL tournament in Navan on Tuesday. Unfortunately we didn't progress to the next stage of the competition. It was a great experience for all involved.

GAA-Girls

Congratulations to the girls in 3rd-6th class who competed in St. Patrick's N.S.'s first football match  in the Cumann na mBunscol leagues!!!

We were playing against Mount Hanover NS, Duleek, who were the winners of today's match with a scoreline of 2-6 to 1-3. Well done to Milly (1-2) and Mia (0-1) on the excellent scores. Mia was very unlucky not to have scored a goal today too!

The older players on the team, Niamh, Mia and Milly, set a fantastic example for the younger players. A special well done to Holly, Emily and Meghan on their first ever football match!

Our Player of the Match today was Meghan Lennon, who showed great determination and enthusiasm today on the pitch. She was a natural back and hardly let a single player or ball get by her! Congratulations Meghan!

Keep an eye on the blog for upcoming fixtures and match reports for both the girls' and boys' teams!
