My First Book of Irish Animals

Image result for my first book of irish animalsToday the children in the Junior and Middle rooms went to Trim Library for a talk with Juanita Browne about her book, My First Book of Irish Animals.  The children all LOVE this book and it was really exciting to meet the author. She spoke about the animals in her book, showed us some really cool antlers, played a guessing game with us and even showed us a real bat she found at home! It was a really interesting and interactive afternoon!

Trim Library

As part of the Children's Book Festival, Trim Library are running some events for pupils in local schools. Juniors and Seniors went up to the library today for a story-telling session with Pat Ryan. The children had a great time hearing stories about bold babies and elephants, white bears and doing the penguin dance!

Pat Ryan has worked as a teacher and a professional storyteller for over 30 years. He regularly tours Britain, Europe and the US, and has written for the BBC too.

Many thanks to Trim Library for inviting us to this, and other events! The Junior and Middle Classrooms will be going down on Thursday for a session Juanita Browne, author of 'My First Book of Irish Animals' which the children absolutely love!

Thank you :)
