Active School Week

 Active Week is next week!

The children will need to bring in €10 for the week of activities.

If anyone has tennis rackets and golf clubs the children can use, please bring them in with names on them. The children will also need to wear sun cream every day, and bring extra water. The children can wear the school tracksuits/shorts all week.

Reminder that Sports Day is on Friday.

We are extremely grateful to the coaches who are giving up their time to come to our school for Active Week!!!

Active School Week-Friday

Friday was our last day of Active Week this year, and luckily the weather held out for us!

We launched our Daily Mile initiative. Every day in June we will run, walk and jog around our walkway for 15mins to start off the day!

After this the classes had time with their teachers to play different games. Here are the Infants working together to get their pirate crew across the water to their treasure island:

To finish off the week, we had our annual Sports Day. In order to make it more inclusive this year, we did fun stations instead of just races.

Many thanks to our P.A. for helping out on the day and for the fruit, water and ice cream truck!

Thanks again to all of our visitors this year for Active Week!

Active School Week-Thursday

Today we had two brilliant parents give up their free time to come in to our school.

First up was Kickboxing/Karate Kenpo with Anna Zywot and coaches from Braveheart Martial Arts Academy, then we had soccer with Robert Westphal from Trim Celtic.

Thanks so much for coming in, and for not charging us a penny for the excellent training sessions!

Active School Week-Wednesday

It was a busy day for Active Week today! We had a lovely start to the day with Relax Kids with Lisa. The children did games, stretching, mindfulness and relaxation.

Unfortunately, due to the weather, we didn't get to go to the Pitch and Putt, but we did manage to do tennis up at Trim Tennis Courts, which is an excellent facility.

We also had circuits in the hall!

Tomorrow we have Kickboxing/Karate Kenpo and Soccer...many thanks to the parents who are giving up their time to come and coach us for free! We are very grateful!

Active School Week-Tuesday

Juniors-2nd Class had a busy first day of Active Week, while the Senior Room and Third Class enjoyed their school tour.

In the morning, the Junior Room started off with a disco!

Then Edel came in for Zumba. Edel has come in every year since our first Active Week! For queries contact 0861080913.

Neil from Trim G.A.A. had his last session of the year with us:

Due to the weather, our Daily Mile launch was postponed and instead the children all came into the Junior Room for a workout, dancing, mindfulness and a flag design activity!

The final activity was badminton with Seamus and Ruth Quinn. Thank you both for coming in and teaching the children some badminton skills!

Children can wear tracksuit all week and please ensure they have enough water sent in with them! They will need coats, golf clubs, tennis rackets and pillows tomorrow if possible please!
